I heard he was injured early in the game. Does anyone know the extent/severity of his injury?

Hurt his shoulder while getting tackled. Won't know how long he'll be out until he can see a specialist. He'll definitely be missing several games, at least.

For those that don't know him, he's one of the top 2013 recruits for the state of Louisiana.

No he definitely didn't break anything

He separated his shoulder and is going for a follow up next week to determine damage he did

So they don't have an idea right now how long he will be out?

He injured the same shoulder over the summer and was out 6 weeks

It's pretty vague right now what kinda of damage was done without the MRI. Could be 2 weeks, could be 8.

They have the jamboree next week, then
Broadmoor, then Woodlawn, then catholic

I would bet if there was no damage, and everything is ok, the earliest you will see him would still be catholic

They would likely hold him out as long as they can to make sure he is strong

Kbeezy, what's the backup look like? I hope he's ready for the central game. I want to beat y'all at full strength.

The backup runningback dislocated his knee near the end of last years regular season and still hasn't put on pads

He is a monster power runner around 210 pounds at 6'. He is legit too, but injured. Not on the level of Blanchard as far as moves and vision, but speed and power is comparable

The 3rd and 4th tailbacks really ran well vs lafayette the other night as DS scored 4 drives to Laffy 2 in the game sim. 3-1 without Blanchard

Sure am, I think people are sleeeping on us this year. Courville looked good and I was impressed with the dline at the scrimmage Friday night.

Yeah last year he had nearly 700 yards and 7 Tds playing behind Blanchard who finished with 1800 yards and 21 Tds

Pretty big discrepancy in ypc though, as kaleb averaged over 10 yards per while romel was at 6 yards per. But he is a bruiser who can really beat the heck out of a defense which makes it easier for kale to gash em up

Courville looked like a man against boys on the first couple drives

From the looks of the scrimmage our biggest weakness is our secondary, there was some big passing plays and thats why Zachary scares me a bit this year since they pass so much, and STM in week 2...yikes

I coach in denham. I coach middle school and still talk to alot of the kids I coached in the past.

Each year some guys come with me in the offseason and learn to box, or wrestle, or just to get some extra workouts in doing different things
