Easily the best commissioner of a major sport. Built the NBA from basically an also-ran league to the juggernaut it is today. RIP.

The last dump Stern took was better than Silver. There isn’t one single decent commissioner in any of the 3 major sports.

Sad news. He always seemed like a really likable, personable guy and seemed to really enjoy his job.

Stern swaggering into the draft like a WWE heel was always spectacular. RIP.

which was fitting b/c I'm pretty sure a few NBA drafts used the WWE set during the mid-late 2000s

And he ruled the league with an iron fist.

He made the NBA what it is. He transformed it from a sport where the finals weren’t televised live to the powerhouse it is.

Stern was great and saved basketball in New Orleans. He would never stand for the bullshite tampering that happens in today’s NBA.

He is the reason the NBA is where it is now.

His scripts, his game fixing, and promoting the stars of the game set it up for what it is now, in terms of $$$$.
