Man if Im the Angels Im starting to wonder what the hell is going on in this series. Since the second half 2015 its been one sided and weve been on the opposite side of a couple games like this but end up winning.
Sounds like another AL west series what is our record vs the Angels the last few years I honestly don't know

He has looked much more comfortable the last 5 days or so. Encouraging trend

Devo didn't even throw a lot of pitches tonight either.

Another win..! Damn this is a year is starting off right. Just think about how many different ways we have won..! Yes there may be some spots(holes) that we would like to see filled, but we have the best record in baseball. This team is legit and it hasn't even hit it's peak yet. Correa is just starting to get going, Bregs hasn't really taken off, and Altuve is treading water below his expected average. IDK, i'm drunk and I think I'm rambling... GO ASTROS

Meatball pitches on Sunday. The series pretty much comes down to which McCullers shows up tomorrow.

Outside of how well marwin was swinging the last 4 games, right now, Carlos Correa is the most locked in batter. Yuli has cooled, reddick and McCann have been solid. Beltran has 2 or 3 games with nothing and then a good game like tonight. Altuve has been awful and just when you start to wonder wtf he gets that single and stolen base in the 9th.
It was a good win. Most impressive thing was the immediate reattack even with 2 outs.
Still question the timing of Giles coming in and also his inability to get Simmons down 0-2.
Shame that keuchel couldn't get a win going to the 9th up 6-2. AJ should have had Giles ready after the first guy on but no later than the second.

Which is why you wish you would not have had to use Devo tonight. But screw it, use him tomorrow as much as needed if you can win the series. Off day coming Monday.

Just looked at the box scores for the farm. Fisher is red hot. 3/4 with a 2b and hitting .324 now King 3/4 with a 2b
Reed 2/4 with a 2b now hitting .300
Also of note Quad cities got a win but what caught my eye was the losing pitcher-Brady Aiken

Sunday gonna be a long day at the ballpark.
Hopefully we secure the series tomorrow.

Hindsight is 20-20 but how ironic that Devo faced the same three batters that keuchel did to start the 9th. This could have been over an hour ago. Keuchel's ERA stays low. He gets the win. And Giles can be used tomorrow. Devo still had to come in and save the day.
I don't fault hinch for starting keuchel in the 9th but maybe the next time he considers doing that he'll remember this game and realize he's got a guy in Devo that is our best chance to close a game.

I really like fisher. I hope we hang on to him somehow.

Fisher is good but Reddick-Springer-Tucker is the outfield of late 2018/2019-2020

And Bregman could still end up in the green zone if Reed and/or Moran stick around and force their way into the lineup.
It's weird though for Luhnow. We probably won't see enough at bats for any of them in the majors this year before the deadline to help him decide who he'd rather trade/keep.
