First things first...
20 years ago, I was leaving for work when the 1st plan hit. I stopped and watched it on GMA for a little and saw the 2nd plane hit and left. When I got to work, I found out about the Pentagon. We all know how that day felt. I didn’t know anyone there, but it was so emotional. On top of that, it was my daughter’s 10th birthday. So today, she’s 30. The reactions when people ask when her birthday is are always a downer.
Now on to the good stuff!
Last night was good! Bats were banging!
Breggy’s back with 4 RBI’s!
Hits were happening!
On to today...
I’m going with this again because it worked!
Because it’s the weekend!
And lastly! frick Dusty Baker!

My colleague across the hall knocked on my classroom door and motioned me out into the hall. She told me that there had been a major terrorist attack on NYC. I had no idea what to do or say. Within an hour, the entire school was watching coverage on television. The biggest takeaway that I still hold onto today is how surreal that day was.
Astros, LFG!

I think you are outside of the age/2 + 7 rule.

I was in 7th grade on 9/11. I remember them rolling in a TV and watching the coverage. They sent us all home not long after and I just sat on the couch at home watching it. Don’t think what was happening really sank in back then. It does now, and we should all do our part to make sure those folks are always remembered. The Nat Geo doc out right now is unsettling, but great at the same time for anybody interested.
Wish we could all come together the way we briefly did back then. Perhaps a shared desire for Dusty Baker to frick off is a good place to start.

Asked what he could give the Astros on Tuesday in his first start back, Zack Greinke said “I’ll be ready. (I’ll give) as much as they ever ask, which isn’t a lot a lot of times.”

Another indictment of FODB, imo.

FODB would find a way to bat him 10th if he could.
