He seems uninvolved. Altuve should never have to contest his own at bats. How has hinch not been looking? The last several games have been shite calls.

I've been hammering Hinch for being a pussy for over a year. Research it if you need to.

Lucroy just said that was his forst oppo bomb on the year lol

Lucroy has been my favorite catcher for a couple years now once I came to appreciate pitch framing & being able to quantify it in terms of WAR. Didn't add a starter, but did the next best thing with boosting the ones we have plus adding .100 to our catcher BA

So funny. Actually thinking the Astros have a shot. No catcher, can't hit, can't score, and piss poor starting pitching. If the M's and Angels weren't puke, we'd be in dead last.

Hinch just takes it. Over and over. Like, the entire homestand. People who defend him as anything other than a replacement level manager at best are deluded.

So where are we placing the blame?

The entire shitty offense for failing to score even 2 runs off of shitty Lucas Harrell who walked half the stadium in his 3.2 innings?

KJ Reed for his GIDP with 1 out and a runner on 3rd. A slugger who can't slug. LOL

Hinch for letting Altuve get himself tossed?

Hinch for throwing shitty Tony Sipp in a 1 run ball game?

Luhnow for sitting on his arse and letting the Rangers improve their offense with 2 hitters who beat us on their own tonight?

Super stoked as a Rangers fan about Lucroy

Hot take: Houston will never make the ALCS with Hinch. He is holding yall back.

Yu has had shitty luck since coming back so it won't surprise me to see us lose tomorrow.

This home stretch plus the three games at Detroit have been a disaster. It is time to start focusing on next year. There are workable pieces in place but there is too much dead weight to expect us to grab a spot this year.

The Rangers have righted the ship enough to make me believe they won't go through another stretch like the one we used to catch them. Plus, they added three key players that all paid off tonight.

I really hope these young players in the minors grow up quickly and are worth the moves we failed to make before the deadline.

For those who were realistic about what was happening, that started at 3 p.m. on August 1.

some clown in TCB thread said Altuve was determined to get himself tossed and Hinch has to decide if its worth arguging balls and strikes. Maybe he was playing a waiting game to argue. Jesus Christ

If your MVP candidate is arguing a shite call with the umpire, you get your arse out of the dugout ASAP and do the arguing on his behalf so that your MVP candidate doesn't get thrown out of the ball game (and miss an AB with the tying run on base in the 9th inning).

That is a piping hot take considering we were 4 outs away from it last year.

I'm not a fan of Hinch right now, but this lineup, at its current construction is what will hold us back. Until they fix that, you could put Connie Mack in the the dugout and it wouldn't make a damn.

Can see it that Altuve could be frustrated with Hinch as well and trying to light a fire under his skipper (which shouldn't have to happen)

Let's not assume Altuve hitting in the 9th would've changed the outcome of the game. We got outplayed because we still can't come up with a clutch hit and because our bullpen fricked up. Hinch should've come out immediately to protect Altuve but it's not the reason we lost.

TCB, Lima Time Time and Astros County pump the hard and thick sunshine.

No, actually I think he was one step away when he got tossed. But had he walked w any urgency, or dare say jogged, even one step, he could have avoided letting his best player do something that this team has been begging for over the last 6 games at least.

He shouldn't have to do that. And it wouldn't surprise me if he did. That's twice now that altuve has been called out on strikes and he stayed to argue. And according to the strike tracker he's been right to argue both times. Hinch better be out in the umps face next time altuve argues a third strike.
