If Jake could ever catch up to the high heat, it would take him to the next level as a player

Pitchers just so often can blow the upper 90s fastball right by him with no problem.

Mike Scott won the cy young throwing the high heat. Don't know why pitchers don't throw this pitch more often. Well the pitchers who can throw it over 90.

This start is typical Archer. Hurt by a homer or two, but mostly in control.

we have knocked him around not much falling. I know i should be but Archer has never really impressed me.

He is a flyball pitcher. He gets away with a lot of crap normally thanks to his stuff.

Archer could probably be a truly dominant force with a better approach.
