shite, I’m just going to say it...

Tucker and some throw ins for Thor.

Whitley and some throw ins for stroman.

Get both and the rotation is great for several years.

Sign springer to an extension.

Assuming we resign springer I’m more concerned about holding on to beer and Rojas at this point than Whitley or tucker.

When does Beer start getting the Tucker-esque pub he deserves?

I saw this line about him after the draft and it has proven to be true-because he came on the scene and was so dominant as a freshman scouts broke him down too much and it became way too much about what he can’t do rather than what he can do

It'll take until he murders Triple-A pitching for him to get real pub because he's a bat-only, just like Yordan.

But he is a legit first baseman and the obvious replacement for Yuli in 2021 at this point.

But he's probably no Yordan. That doesn't mean he won't be above average and hit a lot of bombs.

Yeah as long as Beer can stick at 1B we’re good. It sounds like he can

Source: #BlueJays, #Braves have discussed trade possibilities in recent days. Toronto had a high-level scout watching RHP Tristan Beck start for Class A Florida last night. Stroman, Giles, Hudson, Sogard each could fit Atlanta’s roster.

That's right, Mets. ATL is going elsewhere for help. Padres have no reason to rush their buildup either. Come to papa.

Source: #DBacks (52-52) focused intently on selling conversations. Their big names are definitely available: Greinke, Ray, Bradley, Chafin, Holland, Peralta, Dyson. Arizona has a vastly improved farm system — and it’s about to get even better. @MLBNetwork @MLB

DBacks are selling, too. The more sellers, the better.

Want Bradley. Probably not possible to buy low given his past success and team control. 18 of his 22 earned runs have come at Chase Field and Coors Field (12 runs at home, 6 at Coors). The ball flies out of those parks, hes been really good anywhere else.

Add on #BlueJays/#Braves trade talks: I’m told Marcus Stroman is *not* the focus of that dialogue. The Braves are more inclined to add a reliever and/or versatile bat.

Bradley, Chafin

That combo would solve a lot of the bullpen problems.

One of many scenarios #Mets are exploring, per sources: Syndergaard to #Padres, then using some of return to land Stroman from #BlueJays. Not known which players would go from SD to NYM if deal occurred. RHP Cal Quantrill, a Canadian native, would be logical target for TOR.

Sweet mother of God.

I don't know what the Mets are doing but I feel certain it ends with us not getting Syndergaard and the Mets being the laughing stock of every one.

@JeffPassan
Left-handed reliever Jake Diekman has been traded to the Oakland A's, league sources tell ESPN. Diekman had been pursued by a number of teams on trade market before Kansas City agreed to deal him to A's. Oakland bullpen has monster stuff with Treinen, Hendriks, Trivino, Diekman.

Is this theory true ? Trading a better pitcher with more control for good assets that you in turn trade for a lesser pitcher with less control” = Mets

Crunching

Yes that makes sense
