I went back and was reading a FanGraphs chat from Friday with one of their longer tenured writers, figured I would post this in here.
quote:
James: The Astros and all of their full season affiliates lead their leagues in strikeouts. Is this a coincidence or part of a bigger strategy?
9:21 Jeff Sullivan: From top to bottom, the Astros are a juggernaut
9:21 Jeff Sullivan: It’s all anecdotal, but I don’t think there’s a better organization in baseball with regard to player development. They just know how to get value out of raw ingredients
9:21 Jeff Sullivan: The Astros are going to be good for so long

And that's why Ludlow will make trades soon without giving up the biggest names (unless Realmuto pipe dream happens because that would almost surely cost Yordan).
We are loaded with live young arms. Add a couple known quanitites to the pen with a proven veteran bat.

Stop it, I can only get so erect.
I’ve actually seen some stuff in other chats about the Stros making best use of the high speed cameras and what not and turning it into useful info for the players to maximize/optimize their spin rates and axis’

Ludlow does his best work chillin' in SoCal so maybe Britton happens today.

I requested both.
I also requested a lineup with the three G’s, an outfield of Springer-Reddick-Kemp, and Stassi behind the dish.

Yea I think he was trying to play the part of his usual Debbie downer, but it actually is true and why we should make moves for proven guys.

Hinch said Correa played catch and did some running yesterday at MMP. He's still perhaps a couple of weeks away considering he will have to ramp up baseball drills, including hitting, and then go on a Minor League rehab.
quote:
After a recent setback, Carlos Correa has again progressed to throwing and running as he rehabs a back injury in Houston, #Astros manager A.J. Hinch said.
