Y'all think the Angels (series starts Monday) will be satisfied with Jake's suspension and let it rest there or will they deliver their own baseball justice?

The Best Possible Move for Every American League Team Before the Trade Deadline

quote:

The Best Possible Move for Every American League Team Before the Trade Deadline

Houston Astros (5733, first place in AL West) Trade for Pirates RHP Chris Stratton

Stratton is as far from a big name as you can get, and he's already on his second team of 2019. But after an awful start with the Angels, he's been excellent in relief for Pittsburgh, allowing just six runs in 17 1/3 innings with two walks and 15 strikeouts. And his arsenal makes him a good fit for Houston: His curveball has an average spin rate of 3,094 rpm, which ranks fourth highest in the majors, and the Astros are all about pitchers who can make a breaking ball tumble.

They will smoke someone in the arse with a fastball. Probably Altuve or Bregman, the smallest asses on the team.

Hopefully Bregman. Altuve would be out 2 months with arse cramps.

Pistols, you still want em? Sorry I’m still in the office bro. They are yours if so.

ETA: I’m not gonna be on the site consistently probably until 6:30-7 pm. I will be chatting throughout the game.

Like I said, they are yours if you want em. You’ll have to post your email eventually so I want to be sure I am on so you don’t have to leave it up. Just expect to see me around then and we can discuss it in the Rangers thread since maybe 3 people read that one.

Thanks.

Hinch updated on Correa, Diaz, Smith and Peacock.

Correa and Diaz will both start rehab assignments early next week. Correa is a couple of days behind Diaz.

Joe Smith has complete a typical spring training regiment. Being looked at over the weekend and could come back early next week

Peacock is in consideration to start Monday. Will through a bull pen tomorrow and get looked at after.

No way the Angels let this go. I wish we had McCann back for that series.

Couple of days in what sense? Level of health? If Correa is still so hurt that a couple of days makes that much difference then add him to the 60 day IL.

Everything surrounding Correa is in question

Short term, long term

Level of production to level of commitment

To think that a-hole was lobbying to “rehab in the all star game”. All about himself and not the team.

re: DAT 7/11: HOU (Dickhead) at TEX (Lynn) 7pm ESPN
Correa also had this to say about juiced baseballs:

quote:

Houston Astros teammates Justin Verlander and Carlos Correa don’t exactly see eye to eye on the whole “juiced balls” debate swirling around MLB these days.

Verlander came out on Monday with about as scathing a statement as you can imagine, accusing MLB of juicing the balls while saying the game has become “a joke.”

One day later, Correa chimed in on the debate with some Twitter posts that couldn’t be further from what his teammate believes. He seems to believe MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, who on Tuesday said MLB has not been juicing baseballs.

quote:

When someone pointed out that there are “like 75 guys on pace for 30+” home runs, Correa responded by writing, “You sure it’s not bc they wake up everyday trying to get better? Hard work in the gym, consistently in the cage, desire to be the best?”

You know who’s not on pace for 30 homers? Carlos Correa. Why? Because once again he’s on the sideline. You know who isn’t ? JV.

Correa needs to stfu.

I'd be surprised if Correa knew what JV said and responded that way anyways. It's a bad look for the team, but I doubt he did it intentionally.

This is also the 2nd time Correa has totally contradicted the team while on the IL.

First time was when he said hed use the ASG as a rehab game, if selected. Then AJ comes out and immediately says no chance.

Of course all of this is after his bizarre cracked rib incident.

He better come back strong and shut us up or else this is getting weird.

All of this is weird coming from him, I never would have guessed hed be THAT guy.

I'm starting to believe Miss Texas Correa is at the heart of the issue...its all been downhill since he got on one knee 2 Octobers ago.

Nah, things got “weird” the second Bregman’s dick got bigger than his, and the Astros invested long term in him
