Would be very Astros to get swept in this series after winning the last 3. Have to think the other shoe drops a bit without 3 of our best 6 hitters in the lineup, but so far so good. Everyone is doing just enough to gut out W after W.

Would it? The Mariners have won 7 of their last 33

I think that's exactly his point.

Right I forgot about the constant negativity part in here

Hoping we can get Logan Davidson from Clemson or Greg Jones from UNCW in the draft today, or a different MIF

A once celebrated holiday around these parts. Thanks Appel.

Wasn't being negative was more saying we seem to play worse against the bad teams. After winning series against a hot A's team, the Sox and Cubs, we would go on to lose a few now that we shouldnt (although we probably should be losing more games considering our 3 HEB stars are down)

Untrue.

Heard a theory floated that they might pick a guy they know they can't sign to get the pick to roll over into a better draft next year. Would be #Intriguing.

Yeah I read somewhere that this is the worst pitcher draft in 10+ years. Highest rated guy they have is like 10th

Yeah, it's all pitching complaints which could make college bats the value.

Definitely get what you're saying, coming from a guy who expects the negative so that I can be pleasantly surprised with a different outcome, but like Shane said, wrong team-wrong time here.

We win 2 out of 3 with BOR guys here.

Mariners have mailed it in. But, it is baseball.

Just checking in to say how much I love your profile pic. Lima remains one of my favorite Astros of all-time. RIP to the big guy.

I'm still hoping Brett Baity falls to the Astros pick.

Is it 4?

If so, very possible, but I would still lean to winning 3 of 4

They have Baltimore written all over them right now

Not happening. Martin goes today. Loss.

Then Miley, peacock. Probably lucky to gain a split. Smoke and mirrors can only work for so long.

I said going into June, I'd be ok with 14-13 for the month of June based on the roster and injuries. If we can keep piecing together wins with these AAA guys, it's icing on the cake.

The schedule is pretty soft so that should hopefully be the baseline expectation.

What I would do today:

Straw 9
Bregman 5
Brantley 7
Gurriel 3
Reddick DH
Chirinos 2
Kemp 4
Mayfield 6
Marisnick 8

Throw Brantley a bone and let him play left today since he’s voiced that he’s not really crazy about DH’ing. Reward Straw by putting him at the top and see what happens. Let White protect the dugout from foul balls and overthrows, like the walrus hockey goalie from that commercial.
