DAT 6/18: Astros (Verlander) vs Reds (DeSclafani) 6:10 CT

Really didn't want to start the DAT, due to the fact that I'm not feeling optimistic about this road trip, but there's no discussion taking place thus far today, and I have a break.
Hoping White is not in the lineup, wishing our manager was not a plug and play guy who could do his job from home. Hinch reminds me of Earl Weaver, except after a frontal lobotomy. Sitting around waiting for 3 run HRs. Does his homework, makes the lineup, then watches them play.
I'm glad he's not Dave Roberts, making excessive moves esp re pitching, but it would be nice for teams to have to defend occasional forced action, esp late in close games.
So, back to the game tonight. Who is most likely to hit the solo HR Verlander gives up?

Have we seen Matt Carpenter doing his part to end the shift ?

The Marlins should have to do a rehab assignment in AAA after that

Astros manager AJ Hinch just said on @SportsTalk790 that Jose Altuve is flying to Cincinnati today. He said he’s going to talk to Hinch about where he’s at physically. Hinch said Altuve says he feels good.

Yeah, it's evident from the videos from RR that he has gotten accustomed to dragging that leg around.

So Altuve is on to Cincinnati.

So apparently Howie Kendrick is playing primarily 1st base this year in addition to 2nd and 3rd. He could be a low cost rental to upgrade 1B who also provides positional flexibility that AJ likes..
2019 stats: .323/.383/.602 10 doubles 12HR 42RBI 14 walks 26SO.

I think he can be the kicker for the Scherzer for Tucker deal to get it done.

Verlander gives up 2 runs early and 1 run late, get's the win in an Astros 5-4 victory

Not a fair prediction because he does that every game.
Hope I jinks him out of it

Just saw the video of his triple. That leg does not look optimal.

Good news is his "left hamstring" injury looks 100. Lol

Is White in the lineup?
