The kids look to get back to their winning ways as the Cole Train rolls in to his new home at Union Station.

Here’s a video of Ted Tucker hitting his first AAA home run

Glad to see that baw is raking. With that beard I expect the pillaging of the National League to continue.

Is Moran growing that beard out to better protect his face from another foul ball??

I was at that game in Baltimore. Marwin saving the day with his 3-run blast made my East Coast trip complete! Sucked for Moran though....

That homer would easily be on a list of "top 5 moments of the regular season"

Marwin takes 2 of the Top 5. The Grand Slam against the Rangers is up there, as well as Springer's Walk-Off against the Mariners. That shot set the tone of the glorious season!

Anybody want to round out the top 5 or was that a thread I missed in the off-season?

Jake’s walkoff outfield assist in NY and the comeback against the Yanks at home with Yuli doubling off Chapman stand out to me.

Brownie’s call on Marwin’s grand slam still gives me chills

The Memorial Day Minnesota Miracle? The Astros trailed 8-2 in the 8th and won 16-8 behind an 11 run 8th inning.

Through 8 games, the Astros offense has the 2nd most strikeouts in MLB. Averaging just under 10 per game. JD Davis and Derek Fisher make up about 18% of that. Both those guys are striking out in around 40% of their plate appearances.

The return of Yuli should help with his contact oriented approach. As for Fisher, his speed on the bases might keep him around for a little while but if Ted Tucker gets off to a hot start in Fresno over the next month or so, theres gonna be some heat to make the swap if Fisher can't get the strikeouts under control.

Fisher either has a game when he’s hitting everything on the nose (like the game he had that triple to score McCann), or he has games like yesterday, striking out and not doing anything to advance runners (although there weren’t many runners to advance yesterday). The problem is those games when he’s hitting have been scarce dating back to last year’s games he played in.

The other lnock against him is his defense. It’s not really that great either. I have to believe the organization not only wants to see Tucker’s at bats against AAA pitching, they want to make sure he’s not a complete liability in the outfield.

Then again, if he keeps hitting then it’s gattis who needs to be looking over his shoulder because he’ll be out of a DH job when Gurriel comes back to first and Gonzalez plays left.
