Early game today, baws! And the final one in the tundras of Minnesota. The weather will be a balmy 42° at first pitch. It's time for the bats to heat up today!! Let's take this series and head back to the comforts of the Juice Box.

I think the offense comes alive tonight. Gibson has overperformed in his two starts this year.

Lance will be good for 3 innings and 95 pitches.

He and keuchel might be our 2018 versions of mike fiers. Tapped out at 4 innings and somehow keeping us in the ballgame.

The silver lining here is that Jabroni will be a solid long man out of the pen. 2 innings and 5 punchouts will definitely keep us in ball games. The bats will come around!

If he stays in that role all season, then that's a really good sign.

Not that they didn't already, but this junket to Minnesota should make our boys really appreciate the climate controlled confines of Minute Maid.

I'm ready for 24 straight knuckle-curves.

I really am afraid for the health of LMJ's arm with the number and spin rate of breaking balls that he throws. He's going to have to be some kind of genetic freak to keep it from popping.

LMJ will eventually become an elite closer. He will be unhittable in small doses. I feel like that is inevitable and may happen as early as next next year if he has another 140 inning season.

Seems logical and I agree

Lance also has this closer type attitude imo. He's got some toughness that a closer needs

Super excited about our cold wittle Astros today.

Is Hunch treating this like a split-squad spring training game except in this case half the team is already waiting on the team charter?

Comparing those two to Mike Fiers May be the hottest of the hot takes

True. It is more than a little unfair to compare those two to a bonafide staff ace like Fiers, innings pitched leader for last season's World Champions.

It was said in jest. I think they’ll be fine. Still, keuchel has lasted 5 and 4 innings in his last two starts because of pitch count.

He has had some bad BABIP luck and unfriendly zones for his pitching style. But that’s where he needs to adjust. He can say his command is fine all he wants but until the umpires agree he’ll keep having to grind out innings with plenty of traffic on base.
