Someone brought up Correa maybe batting 4th again behind Bregman, and call me crazy or stupid that's fine, I don't think that's a bad idea. I get he's hurt and I get he hasn't done shite on offense at all, but if batting 4th like he always has is the spark he needs to get his mojo back, I would definitely be open to that.

But yeah not gonna happen. All I know is if Yuli bats 4th again and not Marwin, I will lose my shite.

MLB statement on sign-stealing concerns
MLB.com
3:57 PM EDT

Major League Baseball issued the following statement today:

"Before the postseason began, a number of Clubs called the Commissioner's Office about sign stealing and the inappropriate use of video equipment. The concerns expressed related to a number of Clubs, not any one specific Club. In response to these calls, the Commissioner's Office reinforced the existing rules with all playoff Clubs and undertook proactive measures, including instituting a new prohibition on the use of certain in-stadium cameras, increasing the presence of operations and security personnel from Major League Baseball at all Postseason games and instituting a program of monitoring Club video rooms.

"With respect to both incidents regarding a Houston Astros employee, security identified an issue, addressed it and turned the matter over to the Department of Investigations. A thorough investigation concluded that an Astros employee was monitoring the field to ensure that the opposing Club was not violating any rules. All Clubs remaining in the playoffs have been notified to refrain from these types of efforts and to direct complaints about any in-stadium rules violations to MLB staff for investigation and resolution. We consider the matter closed."

From an opposing fan perspective, this is the line up that would make me most uncomfortable:

LF Kemp
DH Altuve
3B Bregman
CF Springer
2B Marwin
SS Correa
1B Guriel
RF Reddick
C McCann

In theory, I don't mind Kemp in the leadoff spot, but his average when he hits 1 or 2 in the lineup is literally like .111.

Interesting. At least he's trying something.

Not sure how Correa is ever gonna get going with that protection though.

Well. All the protection is behind Bregman now. Less benefit to constantly pitch around him. I'd still prefer he'd be in a position where he can bat with runners on base, the bottom of order certainly won't give him that. But it's probably better than it was.

Well, for a manager that uses the bottom two roster spots, that were not even present on ALDS roster, in high leverage situations in 2 out of 3 games, including a pitcher with the least amount of live action the 2nd half of the season in back to back games, followed by his two best pen arms when trailing in Game 3, nothing should be a surprise at this point.

Any snarky Instagrams from the Bregman before today's game?

The coward would probably delete them anyway.

I look at it this way...Kemp might be the key to all of this. If he can get on base and turn the lineup over for Bregs and crew, we might be on to something.

Baws, yesterday sucked. No denying that. Time to put it behind us. We showed multiple times last postseason we weren’t going to collapse with our backs to the wall. Since it’s mostly the same roster, there’s no reason to think we can’t do the same this year. We followed up a game 4 loss in Minute Maid against the dodgers with the historic game 5

Safe to say our hopes for the series rest on Charlie’s shoulders and tonight’s game. If we can win then it’s a brand new series

Boston is a damn good team. They deserve all the respect and credit for big time hits the last few games. This series was never going to be easy, that doesn’t mean it’s over after being down 2-1 though
