Baseball savant says Haywards exit velo was only 88mph. Not as much of a bullet like I thought

Brown or Kikuchi?

It should be Brown for the present and the future but ya know, management.

Too little too late for the offense. Not THAT worried and still think we can obviously win the series, but losing fricking AGAIN at home in the playoffs still completely amazes me.

Agreed. I had Skubal chalked up as an L but that was a winnable game. Even with Framber shitting the bed

Seeing as there is no game 3 if you lose, I'm wondering if they plan to bring Kikuchi out of the pen behind Brown. Would make the Hader outing make a tiny bit more sense, but I'm reaching.

I think this is the way. Sure would have liked to get Altuve to the plate there, but it doesn’t always work out.

Got home from work in the sixth. Skubal is special.

Who’s got tomorrow’s thread? I feel a little streak in me, but if Trapper sees this and is able to start it then that’s my vote

Agree with 5 Deep. We finally got a little spark in us at the end of the game today when a lot of times we just roll over and die. That's nice to see and hopefully carries into tomorrow. Not like we had a great chance with Skubal pitching today anyway.

Nobody should be surprised. I've said for months the offense was going to get us knocked out of the playoffs. The hate Skubal on the ropes in back to back innings but as usual failed with runners in scoring position. It's happened all season. They get hits but don't score runs.

Right now Altuve is a mess, Tucker doesn't show up for the post season, Yordan is on one leg. Yainer is swinging at anything and beyond him the lineup falls off a cliff. We need an offensive overhaul in the off season.

I really thought Caratini and Heyward had hits off the bat. You can't ever expect to walk out on any given day and beat a Cy Young winner, but Framber's early struggles were highly disappointing.

Bregs and Alvarez didn't have bad days at all against elite pitching. If Tucker could just not be sucky, playoff Tucker, we could have won this one. Or if most of them could try to work a count.

Don’t have much to add, once the Tigers went up 3-0 the writing seemed to be on the wall. Astros home playoff offense has been engaged. Hard to see an avenue to victory moving forward scoring 0-1 per game.
