I used to like it. Thought it was unique. Now it annoys me. With all the athletic speedy CF these days, we've got 81 games where that stupid hill can play a difference in a home run or a long out.

I have always hated that hill. It's a stupid attempt to manufacture something unique. I was hoping Crane and Luhnow were going to dump that thing last year.

I won't hate if got ride of it, the flag has alway bothered me more.

Peralta is talking to himself even as he goes into his motion.

Probably reciting the names of Astros who have struck out tonight . 14 so far.

ETA : Make that 15

Springer could be a star but damn he makes himself look like a dumbass sometimes. Swung so hard at a fastball that he fell over. On a 3-2 count. When you swing that hard, you've already made up your that you're not going to walk.

He needs to tone it down just a tad at times

agreed. maybe he'll learn. Maybe thats just his game. But damn at this point, you just need to get on base. If there's a chance you can take a walk, maybe you shouldnt swing out of your shoes?

That was my old golf swing. It was fun hitting the ball 360. But also hitting 5 OB every round.

On a positive note, Zeid seems to have pitched well tonight.

Offense needs a good solid veteran bat in the middle that doesn't strikeout a lot. Maybe we can upgrade 3b and lf next year.

I will continue to beat the drum for a change at hitting coach. Someone should be trying to teach Springer to be more selective. He is trying to hit everything out of the park. Already has 67 strikeouts and he had 80 in his whole stint in AAA.

You can lead a horse to water but can't make him drink. Hitting coaches don't make that much of a differe.ce. Their role is to help the hitters stay up on the pitchers they are facing and being someone to talk to. Not much they can do.

Who is the best hitting coach in MLB?

No idea. i just know he doesn't work in Houston. You can't deny that Springer is struggling. He was 0-4 with 4 K's tonight. And this is not the first time in the last 2 weeks he has done this. He is too talented to be flailing like he does.
