Isn’t it a compound? That maybe a year recovery depending on if they had to pin it multiple times

I’m not sure if the spat helped or hurt him. I think it did but it also provided resistance to force the energy to displace somewhere else more traumatic

Alex Smith suffered a compound fracture and returned to the field today so hopefully Dak will recover and resume a successful career as well. Prayers.

It's probably safe to drop him from your fantasy team if that's what your wondering.

He’s gone for the year.

If it’s a closed fracture, he should have an uneventful recover and be back well before OTAs next season.

If it’s open, hopefully the same is still true. But it’s more complicated with an added infection risk.

Thank you for the response, makes a lot of sense. Hopefully he recovers without any major setbacks. The Alex Smith injury comes to mind.

My thoughts are that I hope he heals fast. What a year for this guy in the worst. Brother committed suicide and now he snapped his ankle. My heart goes out to him.

Seeing the XRs from Alex Smith’s E60 documentary, I feel very comfortable stating his injury was much worse than Dak.

Hopefully for him it is a closed fracture. Alex smith had so many issues due the open fracture and the infection that almost destroyed his leg. Next week or so will tell on Dak. On that doc on smith seemed a day or so in he was doing good and then the infection hit and it led to what 16 more surgeries
