He’s finally come around to the reality that athletes are not only less likely to die if they get(“zero”) and that they are gonna get it no matter what, whether it’s at a bar or in the locker room. Also: “It is safer to be on a college campus if you’re an athlete.” Calling out the hypocrisy.

I’m sure a lot won’t care, but he’s the 1st media guy with a huge platform that is actually speaking truth about college football and COVID. Not sure it’s enough, but it’s certainly a step in the right direction.

Also, liked this quote he ended with: “You’re not getting tested 10x a week if you’re a chemistry major.”

Nobody gets treated better on campus than football players. If they're going to let students on campus then football players should be the least of their concerns.

He just runs with the hottest of hot takes so he can clip a 3 minute video and post it to social media.

Next week he’ll be back to saying “they shouldn’t be playing football. This virus is too dangerous.”

He's been talking about the nation getting back to work (including college sports) for some time. For whatever grief he gets he's been on the return sport train for a while now.

And on top of all of that, these athletes playing help their own futures, and give hope/entertainment to entire cities/populations which is desperately needed after the last 6 months in this country.

LET THEM PLAY

It baffled me on why so many sports media people were in favor of cancelling the season to begin with. No football in the fall means a lot of them are out of a job if there's no sports to cover.

Don't need a pill to see that. Most sports fans want sports to be played and see low-risk with athletes. Don't need a political bias to formulate that opinion.

This is so true and it drives me fricking crazy that the millionaire analysts and former players (fat-faced frick Booger), 1) haven’t lost their jobs, 2) could still love handsomely if they did, 3) have already taken advantage of the opportunities they were provided in their youth and capitalized on, can’t see the blatant hypocrisy of their moral indignation towards those wanting to move forward with the season.

Most people cannot stand hypocrisy wherever they may see it, no matter the side. But Jesus Christ, guys, have a little fricking self-awareness.

In fairness, it was a conscious attention-grabbing choice of a subject title. But to your point, though I admittedly selfishly want college football, I want the players and their families to be given the freedom to take the available data, interpret it, assess the risk/reward, and make the best choice for you and your family.

Also, I can’t wrap my head around the same folks advocating so hard for the players to get a bigger piece of the pie, trying to deny them the agency to be able to make the choice to play or not for themselves.

Love Cowherd when he takes zinc, does some deadlifts and becomes red pilled AF.

Liberals whining about the flu is beyond tiresome. If you are scared - STAY HOME.

Stop bossing other people around tho.

I mean you can ignore the politics of it, but there is politics involved.

He's been saying for a month or more that the SEC would play or try to play football even if no other conference plays.

It's mainly because most sports media people think they're all Edward R. Murrow and are embarrassed by being in the sports department of their media platform. They probably don't even like sports. Couple that with a lifetime of proverbially getting sand kicked in their faces by the popular jocks and they will take whatever opportunity they can for payback.

Similar logic as the nba bubble imo.

People were melting about FL being a hotspot but the bubble is probably the least likely place to get the virus in North America
