Look, I'm not saying the NBA doesn't have an IOC drug testing system...
But the NBA doesn't have an IOC drug testing system.
Dude could be injected Bull semen and Antleer bones and Coyote ball sacks.
Regardless, longevity is not an argument for GOAT.
Bird sacrificed his body. Gayle Sayers tore up his knee. Magic got AIDS.
So LeBron is the KING of longevity who didn't do shite when he first entered the league for years and years like his peers.
I mean, if you're great, you enter the league and you win...Like Magic, Bird and Jordan...and Walton and Kareem.
You don't have to wait until the back-half of your career. If you're great, you win. You don't wait for help or join other teams. You take the team that drafted you to the title. Bird did it in year 2, Magic Year 1.

You know MJ's Bulls teams lost to some of the greatest all-time NBA teams and a great Milwaukee team in 85 in the playoffs those first years until Detroit got old in 1991 and the Bulls finally overcame that obstacle to win titles right? One great player rarely defeats a great team and that's a concept and theory that's generally always been proven since hell probably the beginning of time

Age at first title
MJ----28
Lebron-27
Remember, y'all don't want to use years in the league

Meh.
You win.
Being average for a long period is better than being an awesome winner for a shorter period. (I guess)
So LeBron wins in your argument. I give up, can't ever debate LeBron guys. (Except Kobe over Jordan guys might be worse.)

Where did LBJ play college ball?
Fwiw, Jordan could have gone straight to the NBA if they wanted him and if he declared.

No one puts Scottie in the top 5? You know Horace Grant was drafted by Krause the same year as Scottie was acquired via trade right? Horace needs to be top 5 too! Woot woot!

I'm pretty sure that you know that literally nobody went straight to the NBA between 75 and 95.

MJ played 3 years of college ball though. He needed to be in college. It can't be argued he was ready for the NBA out of high school. Him going at 18, would not have helped his nbA career, which is what people are trying to insinuate when they bring up his college years in this argument

Russell, Chamerberlain, Kobe, MJ, Kareem, Magic and Lebron. The best of their generations.
Posted on 3/1/18 at 9:15 pm to lsurapper
Kobe absolutely was not the best of his generation. Looking st the time line you are using, having love ahead of shaq is awful

I understand that, but the rules were no different either way. Just pointing out there was no obligation for Jordan to go to college.

It can definitely be argued that Sam Bowie and Ralph Sampson were ready for the NBA out of high school, hell Sam Bowie was selected to the US mens olympic basketball team after his freshman season at UK, I think Sampson was approached by Auerbach to be the Celtics first round draft pick his high school graduation year ah the what if hypotheticals
