if they really tried? probably not but I don't get why these guys and gals don't somewhat try to keep some kayfabe. The current product is absolutely horrible except for Roman Reigns and if Brock shows up. But these deals WWE get for infinite money they have no motivation or desire to try and make it a watchable product again. Fans will help.

The internet destroyed professional wrestling. Kayfabe cannot exist in a world of social media and cell phones.

In before AEW marks come in to say "ITS ALREADY GOOD IF YOU WATCH DYNAMITE WEDNESDAYS AT 8/7C ON TNT"

But to answer the question, I think people are blinded by nostalgia. We all look back to how much we enjoyed wrestling when we were kids.

But I think the product today is still good. Roman's storyline is excellent right now. He called out Cena and the Rock today, which I am guessing is telegraphing perhaps a SummerSlam match with Cena and then a retirement match with Rock at Mania.

I think that is the whole purpose behind his "tribal chief" gimmick, to set up a showdown with The Rock to claim the ultimate tribal chief crown.

I do agree with you about kayfabe, they need to do a better job on social media. I also hate how the entire show highlights are pretty much instantly uploaded to YouTube which gives people no reason to actually watch.

If someone would run the organization like Bill Watts did with Mid-South it can be good again.

And take out all the silly shite we see on there these days

They are scared to be true heels. Back in the day a hated heel would get boo’d or cussed, today a heel would be cancelled.

It's a soap opera for Men.

But it's become more silly as time goes on. The Soap Opera has become romper room type shite.

Try watching AEW. It's pretty good.

Dynamite is usually a 2 hour, fast paced, action packed show.

There’s also no more lines for a heel to cross that will shock the audience because WWF/WCW/ECW hotshot booked for years

How does one make fake fighting with predetermined stars good?

It was never in its history good.

Yeah, I was going to chime in to say "It's pretty darn good right now." There's more hours of genuinely entertaining wrestling being produced per week right now than any time since the mid-Nineties.

I'd tell anybody to check out the weekly Smackdown, NXT, and AEW shows, then pick your favorite and stick with it. If you can't find something that's worth your time between those three it isn't that the shows are bad, it's that you have very specific tastes (which is fine).

It died off when Vince turned it PG and started gearing it more towards children. If WWE regained its edginess and went back to R-rated content, it could get popular again. The characters are so bland and boring nowadays that nobody gives a shite about them.

I tried to give AEW a shot, as I was looking for an alternative to WWE. Unfortunately, it failed to deliver and was no better than WWE, in my opinion.
