Are you sure? He was limping around like he had trouble walking and had a bad back as he was all stooped over.

He moved pretty quickly when he left the set to go take a shite, but he did come back dressed like the grim reaper. 50/50.

I tend to agree with the OP, that he looks better.

Some of that is going to be opening day excitement- it happens to people who love college football.

While I won't cry when he's done, I can understand the OP better than most-- those of us who grew up with Corso and Gameday as an actual institution-- before you'd have 40 games on TV a weekend-- understand his role as important ambassador for the game. We wouldn't have what we do now, if things like Gameday and Corso didn't make it an appealing product. Him, Keith Jackson, Frank Broyles, and a handful of others have done great things for the sport of college football.

When he leaves Gameday, an era will pass. For many people, it will be a reminder of their own mortality, and the disappearance of their own youth.

This 100%. I get that some people don’t like his shtick but you have to at least respect what he has done for CFB.

Corso and Keith Jackson have done great things for college football, but not Frank Broyles. He was long gone from TV when you got more than two games a week on Saturdays. Plus he had trouble pronouncing the world athlete. He always said "ath-ahh-lete"

I thought he looked better as well. Good for him. He is fighting.

I watched a few minutes of him today and he is still struggling with coherent sentences. At one time he rattled off absolute gibberish.
