The game on Monday set records. 29.2 million people watched at the peak.

Sounds kinda low to me
That could be higher

Not saying football interest has peaked because every year the SuperBowl and NFL playoffs set records, but if Ohio State was in that game the ratings would be higher

I still watch but it was a lot more interesting in the 90s and early 00s before the SEC run.

Am I wrong?
No, you are not wrong. One team dominating a conference is not good either.

I have said Nick Saban has NOT been good for college football.......don’t get me wrong....he has been GREAT for Bama and even LSU but overall college football fans get tired of 1 team dominating.

Same goes with 1 conference dominating.....and the SEC has dominated in football.

The West coast are fare weather fans. They only support a winner and with USC struggling no team has stepped up.

Texas has been a huge disappointment. Football is better when they are good. Same goes with Notre Dame.

re: College football: Too regional?
I don't mind it because it's "our thing"
Sure South Carolina sucks and will never win one, but we actually care.
And even when we lose we sell out games.

This is our little club that no one else cares about.

It's like that for all sports and Im happy to be a part of it.

re: College football: Too regional?
Apart from the Los Angeles area, most players come from the South.
