Or the right people approached him.

This. Magic is arguably the most beloved public figure in the history of Los Angeles, how many of his businesses arose out of actual successful businessmen approaching him to essentially serve as the face/name? Probably most at first, and then magic was able to hire a management team to expand his portfolio.

Magic is as bad as Isaiah Thomas but can talk himself into more opportunities. Very rarely do guys who are naturally gifted make good gm’s or coaches. Magic sucks MJ sucks Lebron has sucked However average athletic cerebral players have excelled Kerr is great

Larry Bird did well when he coached the Pacers for three seasons, 97-99. He had 147 wins and 67 losses. If he wanted to continue coaching he could've been a HOF coach.

he told the lakers what kinda players he wanted to play with. Magic gave him a list of players who fit the criteria. Lebron signed off on it. Then they end up with lance, rondo, etc etc. and let’s not forget him always being very poor at recruting guys to play with him. That’s a big part of being GM too. Damn near every top end player who has had the chance to play with him has declined.

So you think he's a horrible GM based on 1 season in a 16 season career where they were basically punting?

That's pretty stupid of you.

What about last year where he traded half the sqaud away to form a team who couldn’t even win one game off GSW.

You mean like he bankrupted the CBA and his coaching tenure was worse?
