Only the Oakland A's are worse.

It's sad that even Tampa Bay is ahead of them. It's not like this has been a losing franchise over the last decade - 8 straight winning seasons until last year where they went 80-82. And they sold out every game for a 6 year stretch in the 90s/2000s so the franchise has proven they can fill their stadium.

Is this retribution from their fanbase for doing the idiotic move of changing the name from the Indians?

Similar to the A's, ownership is cheap.

In 2016 they ranked 28th in attendance. They did that while going to the World Series and still named the Indians.

Soooo no, this has nothing to do with a name change.

As much as I wish the Redskins suffered as well, people in the DC area eat up the woke shite. What do you expect from a location that only voted 4% for Trump.

Why is it a surprise when they routinely rank near the bottom?

ESPN has them at 25th in attendance and while it's down from 21st last year the number has changed by like 600 people.

Cleveland, as a whole, is a terrible city. The same could be said for most cities in the rust belt.

Isn't Birmingham one of the most dangerous, crime-ridden cities in the country?

Well, they are in Cleveland. Which is also in Ohio, so there's that.

No. Cleveland hasn't had great attendance numbers since the late 90s/early 00s.

They haven't been able to resign their talent since the 90s.
Being a farm system for the big city clubs take its toll.

The Dolans being cheap may not be entirely their fault, but to the fanbase, they are hated. That was before the name change.

I still call them the Indians and the ballpark is still Jacob's Field.

The team used to have fans so die hard that they sold out Jacobs Field in advance every year and didn’t have to use the box office on game days for years.

These days, they could probably remake Major League but change the area they are moving to into Las Vegas.
