On Friday, the Clemson Board of Trustees approved the athletic department’s proposal of roughly $70 million dollars worth of renovations to be done in Death Valley. Phase one would cost around $1,040,000 and the total cost of all renovations is estimated $68,400,000. Phase one would begin construction in December 2020 with a completion date in August of 2021.

This article is from October 2019. The $70M spending was approved before the cutting of those sports.

there’s 35 men on the roster. Very few of those are likely on much scholarship money if any. I promise you they’re probably taking in tons of money for the university in tuition and fees.

The OPs post and title is misleading and false. He’s a South Carolina resident who, for whatever reason, decided he wanted to stir up or rile up some Clemson fans on the board by posting an article from 2019 that discusses spending approvals that occurred well before the pandemic and any subsequent t cutting of any other sports.

Latoya is managing this, so it could be quite extensive.

Phase one is likely programming and design, not construction.

im pretty sure clemson can get 35 regular students that they don't have to pay travel, equipment, coaches, rehab, etc... for. you really think clemson or anyone is just cutting these programs for fun? no, they are losing money

with that kind of money maybe they should come up with their own stadium nick name instead of stealing LSUs nickname

but then clemson is all about doing half assed shite and taking credit for shite they didnt earn
