Cliff Notes

- Simms ranked Carr in the top 16 despite poor season last year because he played hurt. Was a MVP-caliber QB two years ago when he was healthy.

- At the age of 39, Brees is not as good as Ryan or Newton at this point in his career. Saints success is predicated on their running game. Brees has benefited tremendously from Sean Payton who is one of the greatest offense playcallers and designers in the history of the NFL. A lot of QBs would put up great numbers in Payton's offense. Mentioned Luke McCown throwing for over 300 yards in a game with the Saints a few years ago.

- Mariota is not a top 16 QB at the moment. Threw 13 TDs and 15 INTs last year. Still has room to grow as a player with the potential to be a top 10 QB in the future.

- Jared Goff is a borderline top 20 QB. Rams leading receiver last year was Todd Gurley. Shouldn't get credit for completing a bunch of short passes and relying on Gurley to make plays.

- Put Garropolo in the top 16 because he has been phenomenal as a starter both with the Patriots and 49ers albeit with a small sample size.

If he is 9th, that little kid in the Nike commercial with no legs must be 8th.

Nevermind, he is 12th.

Pretty much the only thing he got right was Rodgers at 1.

When will people realize that “rankings” are nothing but clickbait designed to cause comments.

Has he though? 7 TDs and 5 picks last year with the 9'ers. 12-5 overall, and 3 fumbles.
