Was just on the dan patrick show and said let's allow coaches to use their challenges for whatever they want, including calls/non calls. What does the MSB think about this?

why not handle it the same way reviews are handled under 2 minutes? A refs horrible call or non-call should never determine the outcome of a game.

If it is blatantly obvious that a call was missed, have some group of refs or office of officials in NY call down and make them fix it right when it happens.

frick that. You shouldn’t have to challenge something as obvious as last night’s PI. Overhaul the fricking refs, let instant replay be used more, not just ignore it in real time

Very obvious a rule change is coming. The foundation of the NFL is competitive credibility. Anytime something happens in a big game that makes the nfl look bad, the response is rule change. See, for example, changing OT rules in 09. This will lead to a rule change.

one thing that needs to happen is either stop needing such a high bar to overturn call on the field or stop having to make a call on the field. They simply don't know and guess on many of those calls. They didn't know on that "muffed punt" call. They didn't know. They shouldn't have to make a call. Just go straight to review. Then there isn't a high standard to overcome.

I’ve been saying this for a long time on here (and bill Belicheck has been on this front his entire career)

I’m sure everyone will be down for it now, but usually I get 4-5 responses saying it slows the game down and that human error is a part of it, etc etc.

They have to change it to where you can challenge everything like the CFL.

I'm a DP fan, but his lack of not calling out the refs today on his show is truly amazing. He says the Saints had plenty of opportunities to put game away. Well yes they did, and the biggest chance would of been the PI call. Kneel three times, walk off FG. Why do big time sports announcers, hosts, whatever cow down to the NFL? Will there be any who just come out say the fix was on? Not on the networks that show NFL games.

I really don't want more replay in football. In fact I want less. It's sports, not neurosurgery. The games are already long enough.

If somehow a ruling can be made in 30 seconds or so, fine. Otherwise, we'll never get to the end of games.
There literally could be a challenge on every play.

This is such a silly argument

The number of challenges stays the same. It just allows the scope of the challenges to grow

Literallly no time is added. And under 2 minutes I would say the team has to be the one to initiate challenges, and not have the booth review everything

The NFL needs to stop with the sudden death OT shite. It needs to just be a full length quarter, as should it be in college also. Play it out. Keep it going until a winner is decided. No reason for overtimes at this level be possession based sudden death.

Think about how much money the refs cost some people. Now that betting is legal, there has to be a solution to these horrible calls

Nothing they do is going to put the Saints in the Super Bowl. It needs to be fixed, but that’s not making me feel any better.

I don’t think anyone is going to have sympathy for gamblers tbh that’s all part of the risk. And likely just as many people benefitted from the call that lost on it.

I love gambling but that’s not a sore spot that’s going to get you anywhere. Most likely you’re gambling with disposable income, and if you’re not then you’re a real dumb pos

I’m all for it, but it’s going to slow the game down too much. Might as well just make the quarters 12 min if you plan to do this. NFL would never allow that though

Have a panel of 5 refs in the replay booth....give them ipads and 30sec to make a call... majority wins and keep the game moving on
