Per Brett McMurphy.

According to him, this also officially kills any possibility of CFP expansion before the 2026-27 season.

So Atlanta replaces Vegas? Wonder what that's about.

Without a doubt, this game needs to be on a Saturday night.

But the TV folks who broadcast our beloved game are greedy.

I don’t know why they refuse to move it. *rhetorical*

When is it going to be New Orleans, so LSU can win it again?

We don't need expansion. Playoffs aren't competitive with only 4 teams. Will be even less so with more teams.

Probably '27 or '28. Go ahead and pencil us in. Especially if it's 2027 and falls back in line with the 4 year cycle.

Hopefully it’s never in Indianapolis again.

I heard because there is a scheduling conflict with the Consumer Electronics Show.

This

No one is trying to watch Alabama or Ohio State nuke the everliving shite out of Iowa State or Oregon at a cold-arse on campus game.

The broader CFB landscape needs to accept that only a handful of teams are capable of winning a title in any given year, and this will remain the case as long as the talent continues to concentrate at the football factory schools.

Maybe but maybe not.

If you expand the playoffs, the result COULD be that talent gets dispersed among more teams who could make it.

With NIL you already have some of this. Teams who have been "arse my dude" for a decade are bringing in studs.

If you know 16 teams make the playoffs, could the number of top programs grow back out to 10-12, or will it still be the 3-5 you kind of have now

But, but, but, but what about all of those election integrity laws and the abortion restriction laws that are soon to follow?

Why?

If they go to 8, you still have the semi’s at neutral sites and the championship. It’s just the quarters that need to be scheduled.

Although I’d absolutely love for the national title to be played at the higher seed’s home game. Could you imagine last year’s game played at Bama or 2019 in tiger stadium?
