Looks like the CFL May have figured out replay. Hope the NCAA & NFL are paying attention:
“With the 2019 CFL regular season about to kick off, we want to be as clear as possible on the role of the Command Centre, the standard on which it will conduct video reviews and the philosophy behind that standard. The Command Centre will focus on only overturning calls or non-calls made on the field where a clear and obvious mistake has been made. In other words, we do not want the game officiated from the Command Centre. The officials on the field have the best sense of the game and usually have a superior vantage point compared to a camera on the sidelines or in the stands.”
No more 5 minute delays trying to figure out if a toe was slightly touching the line, etc., etc. ..... obvious mistakes. Keep the game moving !

How exactly is this different from college football or the NFL? How is the phrase "clear and obvious" any different from "indisputable evidence"?

Command Center officiates NCAA with almighty power. The game should be managed on the field. No overturned calls or long game delays trying to find the correct angle to see if a toe touched a blade of white grass. A foot on the line is obvious. Just one example.

Difference seems to be that they won’t stop the play if it’s not obviously clear that the wrong call was made, which is the case in MOST replays in NCAA and NFL.

Given equal officiating prowess, it should result in far fewer stoppages.

The way to truly fix it is to implement a review timer. 60 seconds to make the call on whether it stands or not. If they aren't sure after 60 seconds it stands as called. They can get another 60 seconds to determine ball placement or clock.

So who decides what’s an obvious error? Official’s judgement is the root of the problem
