This is well thought out and the committee has no winning scenario here
However, the simplest is to leave out Bama and completely ignore their prior rankings to say Bama is just not a playoff team anymore

They fricked up by moving Bama ahead of Notre Dame last week, because the committee seemed to say they were "impressed" by Bama last week.
