But that’s like a never-ending cycle. Then we’ll just fight over a bunch of 9-3s.

Wild Bama is still getting credit for the UGA win that happened 10 weeks ago when they got boat raced by the same team last night.

Notre Dame being left out is funny. This was definitely a message by the committee to join a conference.

It'll get glossed over by the media, but it's an issue that needs to be addressed. Bama being touted for having the best win, yet that same team just violated them by 3 touchdowns yesterday giving them their 3rd loss. The committee is telling us that brand and name of the university matters.

It’s almost like losses don’t matter. Sure, you have a great win, but losing to a horrible FSU team should mean more.

There it is ... 16 teams

After that ... 24 teams

Eventually ... 64 teams

Can't blame him. We all know those guys aren't even close to the top 12 teams in the nation. It's a mechanism there to reward mediocrity.

3 of the 12 teams are going through head coaching changes.

Dude lost to ULM once 20 years ago and has been a bitter bitch about it ever since.

12 teams is plenty and I think a good place.

Only 2 wasn't enough and there were/are enough situations where even 4 teams could leave out some quality teams.

If you don't make the field of 12, then you weren't making the field of 2 or 4 either.

I like the 12, minus the special treatment a certain team gets.

This bullshite narrative that certain games matter more than others is stupid. CFB is the only sport in the world that tries to do this.

"You can't punish Bama for their FSU loss because it was Week 1 and they got a lot better afterwards!"

"Who cares that Bama beat UGA in Athens, that was like 3 months ago!"

You can use it however they want to fit whatever narrative. It's partly why people were saying Notre Dame should be in over Miami because that game was Week 1 and "Notre Dame would win if they played today."

BYU has 2 top 20 wins and the only team to beat them is top 4. They only have 2 losses and 1 was in a conference championship game that apparently doesn't count.

Miami has 2 top 25 wins and lost to 2 unranked teams and a worse record than BYU

A 3 loss team should be ranked 12 if even in the playoff. Get the group of 5 out of the playoffs
Notre Dame needs to join a conference

McElroy makes a good point.

With the current format, the bloated conferences need to take a look at how they determine conference title participants.

Do we see conference playoffs in the near future?
