Crawford on May 8 showed his ex, Gabriele Washington, a handgun while also unloading it in front of her, according to the arrest affidavit. He then is alleged to have started asking her questions about her current relationship.
From there, things appear to have escalated further. Washington told police that Crawford pushed her to the floor, slammed her head against the wall and choked her.
Washington then said their one-year-old daughter (Crawford and Washington's together) walked up, which allowed her to distract Crawford so she could get away to call the police. Once she called, Crawford fled the scene, but since followed up with threatening texts, per the report.

A 5-year-old boy and a woman drowned at a Houston home that property and business records list as belonging to former MLB outfielder Carl Crawford, the Houston Chronicle reports. Houston police were called for a reported drowning about 2:40 p.m. on Saturday.
Police spokeswoman Jodi Silva told the Chronicle that the boy was swimming in the pool when he began struggling to breathe. The woman attempted to save the boy but also drowned. The woman and boy were both unresponsive when taken by ambulance and later declared dead at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital, Silva told the Chronicle.

If nobody in the area knows how to swim, why the hell is anyone getting remotely close to the pool

She was from Louisiana and played for Dallas in the Woman's Football Alliance. She was a 25 year old athlete who knew how to swim.

Lartigue, 25, was not related to the boy, her brother told the Houston Chronicle, which reported Sunday that an official cause of death has yet to be announced by Harris County (Texas) authorities. The brother, Brandon Lartigue, said his sister was a good swimmer and her family had questions about the circumstances surrounding her death.

Wonder if his ex caught him on a Monday

Would have been better burning it all down in the name of Floyd, wouldn't have been arrested

This is all my fault and I owe Carl an apology.

If only they had the white privilege of knowing how to swim.

If you know how to swim wouldn't it be fairly easy to pull a 5 year old out of a pool?

especially if you are 25 year old athlete, and why did no one try to save her?

Whew, dodged a bullet. I traded him off my team in OOTP 16 after we won the World Series
