Got a close one going in Cinci. Pujols just went deep to give Cards a 5-4 lead in the top of the 5th.

The Cardinals are pretty significantly flawed. I'm enjoying their tenure in 1st place while I can.
The starting pitching is shoddy at best. They lack a true 2-hole hitter. The middle relief is below average. The lefthanded bats in the lineup strikeout too often considering the power they actually supply. Pujols is putting up marvelous power numbers, but I do see signs of him losing patience and going out of the zone more often than usual... he's pressing a little.
ETA: And Wainwright is still throwing way too many pitches.
