Why does the HOF have a cap on how many years you’re eligible?

The Ortiz PED stuff was swept under the rug as quickly as possible. When you would bring it up a lot of people would have no idea what you were talking about. There were a lot of excuses made for it at the time about how it wasn't real. I always wondered what Big Papi thought when Red Sox fans would destroy A-rod and chant at him about steroids. "Good thing I fooled em".

David Ortiz was a fat worthless player for the Twins. Took PED's became an All Star for the Red Sox

Wasn’t his alleged positive test while he was on the Twins?

It's a popularity contest and has nothing to do with baseball. It's a joke and baseball writers, well media voters in all sports, have lost credibility.

Did Clemens ever test positive? Or was it just rumors?

I saw Bonds had 66% and Clemens 65.2%

Any HOF that doesn’t have Will Clark is invalid

Simple. People love Big Papi because he's a really likeable guy. Barry Bonds is a piece of garbage who treated people like crap.

This isn't hard to figure out.

I’ll give you a sneak peek on how he would do against those guys:

You think? One of the reasons beyond steroids that he had the success he did is because the pitchers of the time were pusses and scared of him. He would stick that armor plated arm over the middle of the plate and no one would challenge him. He made his strike zone tiny and any strike pitch he got was in his wheel house. He set the record for walks didn't he? The pitchers listed DGAF and would have put him on the ground. He would have had to back off and work for it. I'm not saying he wouldn't have gotten some hits, but he would not have dominated them like he did the pusses of the day.

He’s beloved, he had the commissioner’s office defending him after the supposed test result leaked and because of “This is our f#####g city.” Mic drop.

Some may call it unfair, but life’s unfair and then you die.

With the armor batters wear today, their supposed meanness … and the real Gibson, not what the fans think he was, went to his grave bitter and hurt that people only remembered him for pitching inside and not as a great pitcher, period … would be irrelevant. It would be whether they could make pitches to get batters out, and IMO they’d do it their share of times.
