Such a waste of money. I understand as long as they're playing $10k is nothing for them. But what a waste of money that most of them will need when they retire because you're so damn stubborn that you have to keep wearing something you're not supposed to.

10k for 16 games is 160k unless they have something in the contract that will raise it. That's like a week at exclusive clubs, a week at strip clubs, and a one day shopping spree.

Cam inked the largest deal for an NFL Rookie ever plus he has a deal with gatorade, plus he's getting 22 mill over four years under his contract. In 2015, either the Panthers or someone else will pay him over 70 mill for a six year deal. This dude makes well over a million a year for the UA deal, he will pay maybe 1/10th of that in those fines.

The NBA has no such arrangement and players are allowed to endorse whoever and whatever they want.

shite I'm still thrown aback at the Rose contract 200 mill over 10 years with Adidas and his 80 mill Bulls contract.

It's believed Shaq never spent a dime of his contract money from basketball. He only spent money from his endorsements.

Very Stupid. There is a reason some are turning on the NFL. Sad.

wut? The NFL is a business. They are not going to let someone make money off them without the proper compensation.

Since other uniform violations go up when repeated, I'm sure the NFL has discretion to increase the fine or to suspend the player if they flaunt the NFL's rules.

So it's not like it's a simple 10k/game fine the will be repeated.

No he didn't. He got 22 million over 4 years (all guaranteed though). Sam Bradford got a 6 year 78 million dollar contract with 50 million guaranteed. Controlling rookie costs was apparently one area where the players and NFL kinda agreed about during the CBA stuff a few years back.

Meant to specify for endorsements but I kinda thought people knew what I was talking about when I stated his 22 mill contract which was the year they started the new rookie scale. Hell Reggie had a 50-60 mill contract.

Cam will be making big bucks come 2015 and I bet it's going to be a bidding war.

The sentence wasn't . . . clear. I think that's the nicest thing I can say about it.

When does Terrell Pryor get fined for his UA clips?

When does RG3 get fined for his Oakley clips?

When do Tyran Mathieu and Patrick Peterson get fined for their UA clips?

When do Reuben Randle (UA) and Tony Carter (Oakley) get fined for their non-Nike clips?

When does Mike Vick get fined for his Oakley clips?

When does Kareem Jackson get fined for his UA clips?

I bet everyone follows with a "f&*# the NFL" response. But yet again the uniform guidelines are nothing new in the NFL, nothing new in any professional and some collegiate sports. There have been countless times where players have not obeyed this and have been fined. Cam is a moron for not paying attention to the rules. Oh, and I bet Under Armour pays it anyways, but this was something put in before Goodell, and it's not exclusive to the NFL. Also, RG3 was just fined too within the last year for a uniform violation....so wtf SCAM?

Where's the logos in your example? They're marked out. Newton did not mark his out. The Equip manager probably was told by Newton not to mark out.

The ones wearing UA clips in the above pics look EXACTLY like the ones that Newton wears. NO DIFFERENCE.

So your comment is not valid.

Oh, and I'd like to see some evidence of your view that Newton told his equip manager "not to mark out" his UA clips since many other players on the Panthers wear the same clips. Did Newton tell the equip manager "not to mark out" their clips too?

Some of you people are ridiculous and petty.

How come no fines for the other players violating the rule again?
