The rapid ascension of Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson and a handful of other young quarterbacks has caused a seismic shift in how coaches and scouts are evaluating the position. Instead of playing the waiting game with a young QB1, teams are creating offenses around their gunslingers and enabling them to play through their mistakes. Tagovailova is the most talented QB1 in the class with a game that's eerily similar to a left-handed version of Drew Brees. Despite an injury history that could make some decision-makers pause, Tagovailova's A-plus arm talent, athleticism and intangibles make him an intriguing option as a franchise quarterback. Burrow is coming off the best season by a quarterback in college football history. He is a high IQ playmaker with outstanding rhythm as a passer. He throws with superb touch, timing and anticipation. He also flashes impressive movement skills as a runner. Herbert is a bit of a polarizing prospect due to his exceptional physical tools but inconsistent production. However, he showed impressive poise and playmaking ability down the stretch and continued to dazzle in the Senior Bowl. If a team is willing to gamble on his upside, it could land a Pro Bowl-caliber QB1.

One could argue Joe B is more mobile than Tua.

I wouldn’t risk a high pick on a guy as injury prone as Tua.

Tua has been good at this QB thing for a while. Top rated QB out of HS, won the elite 11, won the NC as a freshman, and was a model of efficiency and accuracy his entire collegiate career. Burrow is quite obviously really good (now) but acting like he's miles better than Tua as a prospect is beyond dumb. The injury history is the only thing separating the two when it comes to boxes being checked. The career stats lean pretty heavily towards Tua being viewed as a better prospect. Hell, he had a better QBR this season

I mean I love Tua as much as anyone and think he's better than Burrow as well but I don't know why people are writing off his injury history like it's a minor concern.

I don’t see it. At all.

Talented kid that I think will be a force if he stays healthy but Drew Brees? Because he throws slant passes?

I mean Burrow threw a load of slants too. It's also not the easiest throw out there to hit a 4.3 guy in stride in a small window. The comparison to Brees likely has a lot to do with stature and athleticism similarities, but discounting Tua's ability to drop a ball in a bucket is pretty absurd. I don't mean throwing a ball in a good area and letting Jamarr Chase go get it, I mean dropping a ball in a bucket. His timing and ball placement has always been top notch

Did I do that? I think Tua is a great player, just don’t get the comparison.

Oh, wait you are the one discounting someone’s talent. Carry on.

It's pretty crazy how bad Tua is under pressure, but that seems to be always ignored. His rating is the 6th best of all NFL Draft eligible QBs and the pressure isn't going to be lighter in the NFL. Especially not Miami.
