Guy gets a $75 mil contract coming out of Denver and gets benched. Is Houston's offense simply that bad or did he just troll the Texans in paying him tons of cash to be terrible?

No. Rick smith is just an idiot. It's not Brock's fault he got offered all that money.

Matt Flynn turned 1 game as a backup qb into a $25 million contract with Seattle. Good for him. Good for Brock, bad for the Texans front office and fans.

Rick Smith and Bob McNair deluded themselves.

Brock didn't do anything.

Never realized how tall that guy was. He's like a 2016 Scott Mitchell.

That's today's NFL. Teams are so desperate to find the next franchise QB that they'll throw crazy money at guys who have showed any promise whatsoever. Osweiler and Flynn are perfect examples

Scott Mitchell was a greater troll because he was good enough to actually tease you into believing he was good.

Does Jay Cutler count as a troll? The Bears have given him 5 last chances because it's gonna be better this time. I promise.

I don't disagree with that one bit. Nice job by the agents and players in securing that kind of cash. But you still have to think, "I might be good, but I'm not $75 Mil good. Oh well, not my problem."

What do you expect out of a guy from Vandy? That guy is terrible!

Meme is a little dishonest, if the Texans don't keep him after next season, he'll have robbed 37 million, not 75.

Savage looked pretty good yesterday, hopefully they roll with him.

The "rumor" around Houston is Osweiler was the product of Bob McNair, not necessarily a Rick Smith/O'Brien decision. Which would explain why O'Brien never met with Osweiler before the signing (not sure if true, I've read it though)

ETA: Not that I'm defending Rick Smith, I don't think he's that great

Osweiler is getting into Matt Fynn territory with this. But Matt still is ahead:

Matt has him since he was signed to play for Seattle for starter money and was beat out by a rookie. Then sent to Oak.

He got paid for 1 start between Seattle/Oakland...1 start...lol...wow

The craziest part of that photo is that Osweiler is only six inches tall from his airpits to the top of his head.

Not sure you know what this term means...

The word is used far too loosely these days.

I do find it funny that Denver is likely going to miss the playoffs, due to an ineffective offense.
