The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the opportunity for Brewers fans to purchase tickets to any of the 10 home games against the Chicago Cubs this season. The Crew wants Miller Park to be filled with loud and proud Wisconsin fans when they cheer on the boys of summer against their division foe this year.
Beginning tomorrow, February 9 at 9 a.m. CT, and continuing through February 15 at 11:59 p.m. CT, residents of Wisconsin can go to Brewers.com/wisconsinpresale to purchase up to eight tickets to any of the 10 home games against the Chicago Cubs. Interested fans must have a valid Wisconsin address when purchasing tickets.

Yeah, not like there aren't any Cubs fans in Wisconsin.

So they're just mad that games in Miller are basically Cubs home games instead of Brewers home games?
That's sad.
That's sad.

tons of sports teams do this to prevent away fans
esp during the playoffs

Lot of teams do this sort of thing. I know the Nashville Predators do something like this against rivals, and they sell out every game no matter what.

Most of the cubs fans probably get their tickets on secondary markets anyway. Most of the cubs games I go to are road games, and I don’t think I’ve ever bought a ticket directly from the other team’s box office.

I got plenty of friends 20 miles north accords the border, we’ll still show up in droves anyway and Miller is still gonna be wrigley north.

what about Brewers fans in Illinois?

At one point Nashville did the same thing to keep Blackhawk fans from buying up large portions of the stands.

You know, that's a good question. What about Brewers fans anywhere in the country?
