Brad Stevens deep down can’t wait for Kyrie to go.

Brad Stevens has proven to be a great coach and had his team humming last year. Now this year Irving is back with his bullshite and they look like crap. I think I see the problem here.

I also think a player like Irving is bad for the development of their young players. Specifically Tatum and Brown.

I'd agree, but Irving is a major talent and losing that, especially for nothing, is going to hurt. Rozier might be able to take his place. But to keep him is going to be pretty expensive and he might be pissed that they killed his FA value this summer. Certainly is going to be no home town discount. Honestly, I can't figure out how Ainge is going to play this. They seem committed to Irving. But he is a flake..

Stevens has not had a good year. Remember when people were saying they would take Stevens over any PLAYER in the league if they could have any coach or player someone bump the thread

It’s amazing how Boston fans in the media are so hesitant to blame Stevens for mismanaging the team & personalities. Nobody said it would be easy, but like Boom noted last year people were putting this guy up on such a pedestal

But I thought it was easy to manage egos of great players.

NBA is a player’s league. Even GOAT Pop had two star players request trades back to back years. that’s why it is so important to have some good vets in the locker room to hold everything together. It also helps when your star isn’t activiely trying to disrupt the locker room. We Looking at you lebron and kyrie.

To be fair Kyrie played all last season. It was heyward who was out. Why not blame him?

I really think Kyrie got conditioned in CLE to ignore the coach which has now caused problems with his tenure in BOS

He played most of the season you are correct. Around 60 games. Main reason Heyward doesn’t get the blame is because he doesn’t have a big arse mouth like Kyrie. Kyrie is cut from the same mold as AB and L Bell. At some point no matter how much talent their mouth isn’t worth it.

Maybe Boston should go after Kemba and AD. Let Kyrie go. Kemba has proven to be the same player as Kyrie. Both are electric but won’t win alone. Switch them places over the past 5-6 years and results are the same. Hell Lebron and Kemba might be still on the Cavs tearing up the east.

Gordon Hayward is actually their problem.

They need him to go.

This. Kyrie's shown he can be part of a championship team.

One of the HUGE parts of being an NBA coach is managing egos and getting talented players to coexist and work together. You need all your stars working together to win a ring.

Stevens has had a lot of success with teams that haven't been 100% championship level, but he has the talent this year. He's looking like a coach who can overachieve with an underdog but struggles getting a favorite over the line.

This. Idk if he should have sat out longer or what, but he is not even remotely close to prior injury form.

Huge contract.
No one wants him, as is.

He may regain form for next year.

I suspect op Kyrie thread is truth.

When has he ever been a favorite to win anything?

They were favored to win the East this year, and it's not really going too swimmingly.
