Mac Jones has reportedly been fined for Eli Apple block

The NFL has reportedly fined Jones $11,139 for the incident.

The NFL has fined Mac Jones $11,139 for a block on Eli Apple near the end of Saturday’s loss to Cincinnati, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

Jones addressed the block during a radio appearance with WEEI’s Christian Arcand and Mark Dondero Monday afternoon.

The play initially appeared to be a fumble recovery for a touchdown, but was later ruled an incomplete pass.

Apple was chasing the play from behind, and Jones who was a few yards ahead dove toward Apple’s legs, causing a collision.

He'll make a guaranteed 1,368,470 in 2022. That fine is less than 1% of his salary. I mean at least make him kinda feel it a tad in the wallet

This isn’t AP English, you don’t need to cite your source in the title.

Someone is going to end his career in retaliation and all the Bama fans will cry it wasn’t fair.

Some people hold themselves to higher standards to get higher results

See: Kirby Smart

Others don’t hold themselves to as high of standards.

See: Brian Kelly, 2 decades of HC experience with ZERO national titles and ZERO P5 conference title wins

What you hold yourself to, you get from life

We've become a nation of sissies. If you can't stand up to the hit of a QB, dirty or no, perhaps you shouldn't be playing the game of football.

Has to be a percentage of salary or something along those lines.

They’re professional cry babies. They’ll somehow blame Apple for McCorkle going straight at his knees

Only the ones who care about what our players do in the NFL. Once they leave Tuscaloosa I am no longer invested in them. If Mac Jones wants to live by the sword then he may very well die by the sword. A career-ending injury at this juncture doesn't impact Alabama so it's of no consequence to me.

for a block on Eli Apple

Why would what amounted to a defensive player be blocking right there?

The fact that he dove at Apple's knees didn't make him a blocker. It made him a gaping a-hole.

It's in the CBA, that total is listed as the fine for first offense of a low block.

No one’s standing up to it because touching a QB is a flag.

There’s a difference between being a physical and tough player who plays recklessly (like Burfict) and being a coward who only goes for cheaply injuring players.

Mac Jones is a coward

Burfict was dirty as frick. That hit on Antonio Brown was dirtier than anything Mac Jones has ever done.

Lol. Except it wasn’t a block and had no intention of making a legal play

Who makes more money than you and bangs hotter tail when he comes home at night. I think he can live with being a coward at the end of the day.

I hope you enjoy your mid-shift at Sonic this evening!
