Agree
Houston, UCF and Cincinnati need to be G5 programs for sure.

A 60% win football team.
And an large loyal following of fans and alumni with a real football stadium.
People actually watch their games...etc.

UCF is a giant school in Orlando and Houston is a huge market. I think they'll stay and the conferences will simply get big.

Plenty of people in that area already watch Big 12 football
They watched Texas. Now Texas is gone. Doubtful that Baylor, Texas Tech, and TCU give you the Houston market

Huge TV market
UH does not have a huge TV market, even in Houston. It's a large commuter school in a metropolitan market, not even a regional market. Of those who follow college sports in Metropolitan Houston, 70% are likely TAMU or UT supporters.

How do you know?
Bc they are what the third most watch school at best in the area
You brought up WVU
Which had a bigger and more loyal fan base than UH. Those TV sets in the state 95% watch WVU
While UH is competing with a ton of schools in their market.

Doesn’t change the fact UH doesn’t have a big and loyal fan base

I’m sure if WVU was in the AAC they would win a lot more football games
Hell UH before this last season were awful for a few years

The Texas schools are about to be Baylor, Texas tech, and tcu, they definitely need the Houston market.

Vandy
Miss State
Rutgers
Baylor
Oklahoma State
Texas Tech
Washington State
Wake Forest
TCU
They will all eventually be left out of the new power structure.

wash St, Oregon State,

Houston and UCF have more access to talent, even with picking up scraps than either of these two.
Washington state is in the middle of fricking no where. It is a miracle they were in a power 5 conference. They are not getting a life raft now.

Dumping UCF and Houston would not improve their conference but it would immediately make every single member and prospective member consider other conferences.
