Much better options in play. WVU, Az State, Az, Cal, Colorado, Utah, wash St, Oregon State, maybe even Miami or FSU if the Acc falls apart and Big 10 goes after VA, Duke NC and Florida can keep FSU and Miami out of the SEC.

UCF is the largest University in the State of Florida and growing.

I don't know what Houston brings to the party other than Fertita's money

They have WVU already.

Sounds like they are about to get them.

Cal

Virtually no value from a football/big time sports/big time fanbase/brand perspective

Wash St, Oregon State

Like Cal, they have less college football/sports value than UCF and certainly Houston.

Probably more than the number of people in California watching Cal play

They show up with a relevant football team once in a while. They also have fan support in their state

Houston just went to the Final Four and is one of the favorites to win the national title in basketball next season.

Houston has won a major bowl game in the CFP era and WV hasn’t.

More people live in the city of Houston than the entire state of West Virginia.

Expansion isn’t about tv markets this time

Plenty of people in that area already watch Big 12 football

It’s taken a backseat to the SEC

Florida will keep Miami and FSU out of the SEC with the same proficiency that TAMU kept the shorthorns out.

The conference has lost the top 2 Texas schools in recent years, and you want them to voluntarily drop another one?
