He’s a brilliant football mind, wouldn’t surprise anyone if he turned into a great coach.

Who's next, Ray Lewis to Southern, anyone?

Eric Dooley will have a few more years in him before that ever happens of course.

He's been a beast recruiting at the U.
The trap he wisely realized he was going to be stuck in over the next decade or so. Every few years his name pops up for a job ,but he's just a "recruiter " good DB Coach. This path( HBCU's) has been there for most any ex high profile athlete who is serious about coaching ( most really aren't interested in being coaches).

This is like when Michigan needed a spark and had their towel boy play trying to copy the success the water boy had at SCLSU.

The degree of difficulty he's taken on is immense. B. Cookman, along with M. Valley would be perhaps my too last choices in the SWAC. Cookman has the worst & smallest stadium in the Conference & near smallest fan base . This isn't Jackson State. But Reed knows Florida & I'm sure he did his homework & understands what he's walking into. Hope he does well & would like to hear why he chose Cookman,
