Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon or James Harden?

Please give your well-thought, organized and informed opinion.

Thank you, gentlemen.

I say Hakeem here.

Won championships which Harden did not do, and stayed there (in Houston) pretty much his entire career. When you think of the rockets you think of Hakeem IMO.

He’s there best player.

One was a malcontent nearly his whole career, the other stuck it out as long as one could reasonably expect.

Steve Francis

I forgot Hakeem played in Toronto to close out his career.

Is Harden even #2? Moses averaged 31 and 14 his last year in Houston and was a much better defender than Jimmy.

Moses won two MVPs with the Rockets and led them to the Finals. He also won a title on his first year after leaving to join a superteam.

I, personally, believe it’s Hakeem by a lot. But the host on a Houston sports show I had on just now said he believes The Dream to be the best, but that “he knows some Hardin supporters want to argue otherwise”.

So I was curious if there really is a debate out there.

If you go by individual stats there is no debate that is for sure.

Although they are both top 5 all time at their position. Hakeem the all time leader in blocks, harden the all time greatest single season scorer.

They are more or less the best offensive player, and the best defensive player of all time.

If you are a Rockets fan and are 40ish you have only had 4 losing seasons. Thanks to these guys. It is a charmed life being a Rockets fan.

If we include strip club stats, then it is Harden
