re: Best feeling moment you’ve had in sports
Tulane beating BYU in Memphis in December of 1998.

The immediate euphoria on the field at the final snap of going a whole season without the agony of defeat and knowing the entire offseason wouldn’t be filled with a single “what if” of regret from anything we could have done differently.

Just a great group of guys - so you were just ecstatic to know who it was you went on the journey with and how much they deserved it too.

Walkoff homerun on the first pitch of the bottom 8th inning (6 inning regulation game) in the all-stars North regional semifinal game when I was 11. The next year we won the Dixie Youth World Series and I closed the game out on the mound so its pretty close between those two.

Saint SB win. Easy.

This.

I cried and I'm not ashamed.

Best personal moment was in soccer. I was 18 and my brother, who I don't get along with, was 16. We were on the same team for the first time in our lives.

Our team was really, really good so we cruised through the opening group stage. In the Semis I pulled my groin, but we won 2-0 and a team we beat in our opening bracket 4-0 somehow clawed their way to the championship game.

My coach told me to rest so I didn't dress. We jumped out to a 2 goal lead in the first half so I didn't feel the need to test my injury.

Well, that didn't last long. They scored immediately after halftime and again with about 10 minutes to go. The best player on our team got rolled up and couldn't play anymore so I put on my shite and told my coach I could play.

We went to overtime and I went in. I couldn't run very well so I was playing as the far right midfielder. Lo and behold, my teammate steals the ball, dribbles down the sideline and crosses it to the back of the 18 right at my feet. I hit it as soon as the ball touched the ground and sent a rocket to the upper right corner of the goal.

My teammates went ballistic as did the 200 or so people in our stands, but what I remember most is my 16 year old brother, who I didn't get along with, running up to me and giving me a huge bear hug.

He and I still don't have a strong relationship 23 years later, but we'll always have that one moment.

For me it was seeing my kids do well. My daughter had an unassisted triple play in fast pitch softball. At 15 she was striking out 18 year olds. Unfortunately medical issues derailed her career.

re: Best feeling moment you’ve had in sports
For me...

Personal - first game I got in at VT...it was against Temple and got a tackle on the 1st play. It was one of those I worked hard and it paid off moments.

In Person - Ireland beating NZ in Chicago in 2016...I am big a rugby fan and after over a 100 years of frustration it happened. The whole pre match, post match, etc... It was extra sweet as I was in Dublin in 2013 when NZ scored on the last play of the game to snatch victory.

TV - when I was a young kid, lived in Fl close to the Twins spring training and used to follow them. It was the great years, Kirby, Hrbek, Viola, etc...the 87 world series I was just a kid jumping around like an idiot when they beat the Cardinals

HS football we won a game on a double reverse out and up 50 yard TD pass. Had a great view from the bench

Won a HS basketball game on a half court heave. I actually in bounded that one for my 10th assist of the game.

LSU halftime at Peach Bowl felt pretty damn good 49-14. Had a blast. That was a helluva game.

Tracy Porter pick 6. The actual street on Bourbon Street went from a ghost town to a celebration mosh pit in a matter of seconds. It was incredible. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking about that night.

As a good field, no hit, Little League baseball player too many years ago, striking out a midget who likely walked every other at bat.

As a fan, certainly after any LSU national championship win. But the thrill of the Warren Morris walk off game and CWS winning home run rates a little bit higher.

2010 CWS win by far. First men's national title in school history. What made it even better is that we swept Coastal Carolina in Myrtle Beach in the Super Regional and then beat Clemson twice in two days to make it to the championship series.

Personally
Hitting a Grand Slam at my first at bat of the season. Bigger than that my old man got to the game right when I came to bat, and got to see it. I'll remember it forever.
As a fan.

I Don't Believe It.

Natty, easy choice. The vindication I felt after being at the lowest point after the Bama game NCG. Beating the brakes off of Clemson was glorious.
