Good for him. Seems like forever ago the Stros traded for him and they went on that postseason tear.

Interesting to see it come full circle.

Thank you Carlos for your work with the team this year.

Also, thankful for the RBI double in Game 4 of ALDS which proved to be the game deciding run.

Here’s to CB

Hope we can bring him on in a coaching or front office role at some point. His ability to connect with younger Latin players is huge

I remember buying a Beltran $uck$ shirt outside MMP when he came back as a Met. It was his destiny to come back and win it all and I will say it was worth the wait!!

Absolutely.

I'd love to see him take Cora's place a bench coach for the Astros.

We hired the Yankees 3rd base coach for that job.

Oh yeah... well would be great to find a spot for Beltran somewhere in an advisory role.

I doubt he’d go straight from playing to manager at the major league level right after announcing retirement, but he has recently said that he may want to manage one day so maybe he’ll try to interview for the Yankees and see what happens

Not a bad way to go out.

All is forgiven considering he sold the 'Stros down the river when he left for NY Certainly a wise financial move on his part.

A bit OT, but does anyone know why he came back to Houston anyway? What was so special about his time here that he wanted to come back?

I think he had 15 million reasons he wanted to come back.

He wasn't playing for free. He's also said he was confident in the group Houston had as a contender and obviously wanted to make a run at a title late in his career. I have no idea what other offers he had on the table

As far as AL choices before the year Cleveland and Boston were probably the only two more likely contenders than Houston and there was no way he was going to an NL team
