I've never met one...not even in the Sanders era. Whats it like? Just a terrible organization.

One playoff win in 60+ years. I laugh at people like Redskins and Cowboys fans who think they have had it bad.

I'd imagine it's a lot like being a Saints fan circa 1969-2005

I have to imagine the ineptitude of the Detroit Lions is why Michigan and Michigan State football is so popular up there. They need some competent high-level football to satiate their appetite.

Same thing with the Rams.

I’ve never met a Rams fan, ever.

I grew up in NW Ohio where there are many Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, and a few Pistons’ fans, but almost no Lions fans. They’re just a sad franchise. My first ever NFL game I went to was at the Silverdome, and the Lions lost to the Vikings 13-0. It was a terrible game. Barry Sanders was all they had really.

Being a Saints fan in the late 80's and very early 90's was pretty cool. Dome Patrol was the shite.

Probably true, but even more true for tO$U, given how much arse the Browns and Bungles suck.

I knew a guy in grad school who was from Bloomfield Hills. He had always been a huge Michigan fun but an apathetic Lions fan. He had gone to the Univ. of Michigan for undergrad and followed them religiously. He was a Lions fan but just seemed resigned to the fact that the Lions would always be losers. He even joked about it.

My Dad, Uncle, grandfather, etc were all Lions fans...they were nice enough not to put that voodoo on me.

But they are loyal, and only my uncle is alive. But he is getting up there. He can talk about Bobby Lane...that is about it :(

He gets his hopes up all the time...Barry is going to change us...we have the best WR (oh crap, he retired instead of play for us)...Stafford will overcome...etc..

Yeah, one playoff win in 60 years does seem impossible with the NFL parity. The only Saints playoff game I've ever been to was against the Lions (within past decade) and it was a tense game into the 4th quarter. That may have been the closest they've been to a 2nd playoff win.

The Saints SB song that I wrote early in '09 had the lyrics, 'Expansion in '67, moved to the Dome in '75, it took until the year 2000 just to win a playoff game. Whoa, now tell me Buddy (Buddy D), who is it that we should blame?!?!?'

33 years to win a playoff game felt like we were the worst franchise in all of professional sports at the time.

Preaching to the choir...The Lions have 6 more playoff appearances since the Cleveland Browns left in 95'. More recently, the Lions have made the playoffs 3 times in 2011, 2014 and 2016. Its far worse being a Browns fan over the last 30 years...did i mention we LOST our team to Baltimore, who then went on to win 2 Super Bowls? Do people realize there was a time period from 2015-2018 that the Cleveland Browns won 1 game out of 40+ games....1 game!!! I feel no sympathy for Lions fans. I award you zero points and may god have mercy on your soul. lol

Growing up in Wisconsin, I've met plenty of Vikings and Bears fan, but can't remember ever meeting a Lions fan.
