Kobe was also an old 34 because he came into the league so young. He had over 45,000 NBA minutes under his belt which is about the same number of career minutes Vince Carter has now at age 42. The guy was bound to hit the wall soon. The Achilles injury only sped up the process.

kobe was having one of his better seasons in years before the tear, them he never was remotely the same. I'm willing to consider it cause KD is KD, but it has a horrible precedent and and almost every player with this injury is never the same after

You'd think so, but doing the wrong thing is so classically Knicks.

Heck, they might max KD and try to pair him with Melo. I would never underestimate how badly the Knicks can blow things.
