Other than a handful of games this "rivalry" hasn't meant diddle since the 1960s when Lombardi and Halas were there. NFL and the networks still try to pump this gem.

Thank goodness the Vols and Tide just play once a year.

The packers lead the series only by 4 games, 99–95–6. It’s usually a competitive game and a classic rivalry.

Green Bay leads the series 99–95–6.

2 of the oldest teams in the league in good football towns. Between them they’ve won 5 Super Bowls and been to 2 others. If you include the pre-Super Bowl era they have 22 titles. Between them, they’ve won the NFC Central/North division 27 times since 1967.

I think you’re way off.

Hasn't been competitive since the 80s, Packers were dog shite from 1968 to 1992.

The Saints and Falcons franchises have been complete dumpster fires the majority of their history. Do you not consider that a rivalry?

I'd liken it to the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry.

Michigan and the Bears being 'old money' teams living on achievements from half a century ago, while Ohio State and Green Bay have championship pedigrees spanning multiple decades and have had more recent success and dominance of the rivalry.

The Tennessee-Alabama game of the NFL is the Browns vs. Steelers.

NBC is not gonna have the best game every week, lest the other networks who also pay billions to the NFL get pissed

Sheesh, I had to go look it up. Packers are 41-14 against the Bears from 1993 to now.

Yet, it was 2017 before they took the lead in the series. The Bears led the series by 24 games after the 1992 season.

Honestly, no. It’s a rivalry to Saints fans, but Falcons fans don’t care back. Hell neither do the Bucs nor the Panthers. There are maybe 10 legit rivalries in the NFL that have any real passion or heat behind them.

NFL rivalries just aren’t the same as college ones. Bama/Auburn, UGA/GT, SC/SCAMU, UF/FSU/The U, OU/OSU, etc. are on another level. You go to school with your rival, you work with them, you live in the same neighborhoods, you play them in multiple sports, it’s a year round thing.

Do you really think Hawks fans give a shite when the Pelicans come to town? Hornets? Do you think Bucks fans give a shite when the Bulls are in town?

No, nobody cares.

Has a defensive end body slammed one of the opponents QBs after a play has finished between the Falcons and Saints?
