Based on the first game, who thinks Dalvin Cook is better then L. Fournette?

Who's willing to be honest?

And it begins again..

I think they both looked pretty good. McCaffrey didn't look bad either.
Hunt looked better than all of them.

They are very different backs. I will say the common theme that Cook had better hands was a myth.

The surrounding offensive talent on both teams is not comparable. Minn has far better surrounding talent than Jacksonville.

LF also played a much better defense.

One played the Saints defense with Sam Bradford and one played the Texans defense with Blake Bortles.

How many RBs have lit up the Texans defense lately, not many. How many RBs have lit up the Saints defense lately, feels like everyone.

Leonard Fournette faced 8+ defenders in the box on 58% of his carries today which led the NFL, per #NextGenStats
Still posted 100 yds/1 TD

And it's not even close. Fournette played a better defense and faced 8+ in the box 58% of his rushes, more than any other RB in the league in week 1.

Poor guy may never have a good quarterback.
Anthony Jennings
Brandon Harris
Brandon Harris/Danny Etling
Blake Bortles
Woof

Both looked good.
But Fournette played the #1 defense in 2016.
Cook played the Saints defense.
Not exactly comparable

With all of the restrictions on the defense and just about everything being defensive holding or dpi, you would think Jacksonville would have a juggernaut offense with 8 in the box to stop fournette

One vs a top 5 defense
One vs a bottom 10 defense
Too early to tell at this point

Cook played well but I still don't see him as an every down back. He will have a tough time on 3rd and 2.
He needs a LF type to compliment him.

I've long thought Cook would be the better back because he had much better vision than Fournette. However, LF was impressive in his first start. The vision wasn't ideal, but wasn't bad either. I didn't think he'd be able to be the freight train he was at LSU in the NFL, but there are probably a few Texan DB's who might say otherwise.

One team was playing the saints and one team was playing the Texans...Not to mention Leonard was the only thing the Jags had going for them.
Anyone who watched those two backs can see that Leonard has a higher ceiling

Ehhh
Cooks is in a much better situation, and it's not even close. Minnesota has completely revamped the Oline and Bradford is a good quarterback when he has time.
Fournette has Bortles and no Allen Robinson.

The main takeaway is the bullshite myth that LF isnt a back who can catch. I honestly have no clue how that started

LF7 has blake bortles.
Cook had Bradford having a career game yesterday.
Both will be great though.
